Fall Husky Sports Season Review - Field Hockey
Northwestern’s Girls Field Hockey team had one of their most successful years to date. “The team growth, camaraderie, and sportsmanship was unmatched,” said Dean Elieff, the coach.
This team varied in levels of experience and age groups, but the Huskies were bound together, playing overall fantastic as a team. The team played the short two month season through hot sunny days and rainy ones slipping in the mud, but nonetheless played with good determination. They gathered lots of positive compliments from other teams and coaches.
We will be saying goodbye to Captain Caelyn Bender and veterans Abbey Gatschene and Hannah Hartemink, as well as Suzuka Minami. It has been a great season with lots of friendships and many memories. The exhibition games in Goderich had plenty of highlights. Good luck to all the graduating players, and to all returning players for next year. Dean advises you to have your STICKS DOWN. Ready to stop the ball, but also in preparation for another terrific season to come!
